The Dubrovnik Film Festival for Children and Youth (DUFF), organized by Kinematografi Dubrovnik and Šipan Film School, will take place this year from 15 October. to 18 October. Applications are accepted via the FilmFreeway platform until 15 July. July.

Children and young people, individuals, associations, and schools are invited to submit films in the animation, documentary, fiction, and open genre categories, as well as this year’s thematic category: BELONGING – exploring where, how, and why we feel that we belong.

DUFF brings together children and young people of the same age from different countries, backgrounds, cultures, and social environments. Through film—the most powerful storytelling medium—they share their everyday lives, challenges, and the experiences that inspire them.

If you are a young film enthusiast making films or videos, or a member of a film club, don’t hesitate—submit your film for selection! It’s the first step towards joining hundreds of young filmmakers who have taken part in the festival over the years, shared unforgettable experiences, and created lasting memories.
